Visit to the Deep

On Thursday 6th June the Year 1s had an exciting visit to The Deep in Hull, as part of the holidays topic they are covering in school. Even though the journey took a long time to get there, the kids were exceptionally well behaved, and it all seemed worth it when we arrived!

We had a tour around the different parts of the oceans, seeing sharks, swordfish, potato fish and sea-snakes. After lunch we did activities with our guides including making an underwater treasure hunt and sketching rare fish from around the world. Then we finished our tour including a visit through the Amazon Rainforest, past the ice-wall and also through the underwater tunnel. We ended our exciting visit by watching a Dive Show where some expert divers fed the fish we had seen in the day, using special underwater breathing kits. Then it was back to Bradway on the coach and lots of us managed to get some well earned sleep on the way back!
