FOBPS is the fundraising committee of Bradway Primary School and a registered charity. We are a group of parents with children of varying ages at Bradway Primary School and we volunteer our time to arrange different fundraising events throughout the school year. All of the money we raise goes towards the school. The money can be used to support any ‘project’ that the school is working towards (for example the solar panels). Alternatively it can fund items that the school budget won’t stretch to. This can include requests from teachers and /or children. In the last few years we have funded some of the outdoor play equipment, classroom reading corners, books, cameras for reception children, chess set for the quadrangle and much more!
Our fundraising events over recent years have included barn dances, quiz nights, numerous cake sales, xmas fair, xmas cards and the very popular children’s disco which runs three times a year. We also have our ‘solar lottery’ which
is £1 a month per number. It is drawn once a month and the prizes are 1st -£50, 2nd- £10, and third £7.50.
New parent members
We always need new parent members who are willing to help in any way whether its to share new fundraising ideas, volunteering to help out at events or even just to bake cakes. Our meeting are very informal and we meet roughly every 2 months (normally at one of our houses).
As some of our parents now have children who are leaving for secondary school it is really important that we gain new members (preferably those with infant children). This will help us to support the discos that obviously require a great deal of adult supervision. If you feel you have something to offer or simply want to get to know other parents please contact one of us via the school office.
Here is a list of all our current ‘FOBPS’ parents (from Sept 2013) and their child’s year group.

If you have any queries or wish to find out more about FOBPS then either try and speak to one of the contacts above or contact the school office who will put you in contact with one of us.
We also have a ‘ friends of Bradway primary School’ facebook page. If you ‘ like’ us you will get reminders about upcoming events and cake sales that we have planned.

As a parent or carer, you play a massively important role in your child's development and we'd love to work closely with you to ensure we are encouraging the very best from them. Please feel free to make an appointment to see us if you want to discuss your child's attitude to learning, their progress, attainment or anything else that might be on your mind. We'd also love to hear from you if you have any skills that we could use to make our Year 5 curriculum even more exciting. Are you an avid reader, a talented sportsman, a budding artist, a mad scientist or a natural mathematician? If so, you're welcome to join our team in a supporting role, as we're always looking for 'another pair of hands'. Similarly, if you have a good idea, a resource, a 'contact' or any other way of embellishing our learning topics, please let us know.

"The excellent contribution to pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development was exemplified by the breathtaking and emotive performance of a range of songs by children and a choral group from Cuba in preparation for their performance together at The Crucible.
