Friends of Bradway Primary School (‘FOBPS’)

FOBPS is the fundraising committee of Bradway Primary School made up of a number of volunteers. We work closely with the school staff and take pride in planning and coordinating events and activities to support and raise money for the school. We actively encourage parents and carers of children at the school to get on board and become involved!

Our committee members, trustees and volunteers are parents and carers with children across the various year groups, which helps to bring an understanding of the children’s requirements at each developmental stage. Miss Campbell (one of the Foundation Stage 2 class teachers) is the school’s representative on the committee and works closely with the FOBPS team to ensure that our goals are shared.

FOBPS does its best to cater for everyone – predominately for the children, with our ever popular cake and ice lolly sales and discos, but also for the parents, with events such as Gin Night and quizzes!

In addition, we provide refreshments at school events such as sports day and the festive performances, organise gardening/tidy up events to help keep the school grounds looking good and, if that wasn’t enough, we host a Christmas fair.

FOBPS is reactive to what is required by the school and the fundraising money is always put to good use – having direct benefit to our children. Money raised by FOBPS has assisted in the purchase of outdoor play and sports equipment, innovative maths teaching tools and we also made a contribution to the solar shelter which is of ongoing benefit to the school – and that’s just for starters!

Whether you want to suggest new ways of fundraising, would like to help out at events, or just make amazing cakes, your support would be very welcome. You can find us on Facebook by searching for Friends of Bradway Primary School. Alternatively, you can of course speak to any committee member, or ask the school office or Miss Campbell to pass on your contact details.

In addition to our main Facebook page, there is also a FOBPS Facebook page which is used to share information and arrange social events. Whereas the main FOBPS page is a public profile, the year group pages are closed and the social media representative for that year will approve your request to join the group.
