Persuasive Leaflets

Wednesday 11 Oct 2017

Last week, Year 6 began their new topic in literacy: persuasive leaflets. We have been busy looking at good examples of persuasive language and images in preparation for creating our own next week. We now know that emotive language and rhetorical questions can cause a reaction in people and how to make it a positive one! We worked hard to gain investment for our attraction using persuasive language in the Dragons' Den, using unique selling points to win over the evil dragons! We are really looking forward to seeing the finished leaflets.

In maths, Miss Svoboda's group are now very confident with long division - something most had never even attempted before! Mr Perkins' group are working hard to improve their multiplication skills. We will have another week of hard work before we start assessing what you have all managed to remember. I am sure we will be very impressed as there has been so much hard work going on.

Miss Svoboda also began her drawing club this week and saw more than 30 Year 1-3 children come to the Year 6 classrooms to learn how to draw and mainly to enjoy themselves. I have attached photos of their first creations.
