Science investigation - Refraction
Thursday 19 Nov 2015
This afternoon, Y6 undertook scientific investigations to discover the impact transparent objects, such as water or glass, have on beams of light as it passes through them.
We discovered that the light was 'bent' by the object as they slow down the light as it passes through. This can make objects underwater seem blurry or 'messed-up'.
We also covered further aspects of Learning for Life as part of our anti-bullying week. We discussed the use of 'Banter' in the playground and also discussed strategies for dealing with incidents of bullying e.g. What should we do if we saw it taking place? Who could we tell? etc.
