Bradway Primary School

Welcome back

Reading at home is so important!

Welcome back to all of our children, parents and carers.

I have had lots of children coming to see me today to claim a prize from my treasure chest for finishing their reading record. Clearly more children than ever are reading at home. Well done! Research shows that learning to read and maintaining a reading habit is a strong predictor of future success in life which is why we place such importance on reading at home as well as at school.

I still read every day, as do many of the staff at Bradway and at the moment I am reading 'The History of Jazz' by Ted Gioia.
Mrs Cooper is reading a book called 'The other child' by Charlotte Link.
Mrs Cox is reading 'Flood of Fire' by Amitav Ghosh

If you haven't already done it, please could you give your opinion of our school by completing the brief questionniare on parentview using the following link: https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/login?destination=give-your-views

Parentview is a useful way for schools to get feedback from parents and is also used by Ofsted to determine what parents think of our school.
Many thanks
