Halving and Quartering

Wow what a busy week!
We have recapped on halving and have been quartering objects, shapes and quantities in Maths this week. We are learning how to recognise and write 1/2 and 1/4. 
In Literacy we have been reading the big book on how sunflowers grow. we have all planted our own sunflower and written instructions on how to plant them. I wonder which will grow the tallest? Next week we will be moving onto 2D shape work and looking at non fiction texts about fruits and vegetables.

We have had a visit from Rock School today and the children had the chance to sing and become part of a rock band.
