Bradway Primary School

Friday 28th April

Friday 28 Apr 2017

Welcome back to a new term. We've all just about settled back into the school routine!

In Literacy this week, the children have practised retelling a story all about a little boy called Charlie who has a journey to complete. Along the way, he meets lots of characters who, one by one, manage to take something away from him. The children will then be using this to plan and write their own, new versions of the story. Your child might want to talk to you about their ideas at home before they embark upon this task.

In Maths, we have continued our work on adding and subtracting using a numberline. The children have learnt to partition numbers into tens and ones and then use these chunks to hop along or backwards on the numberline.

In Science, the children have started a new topic and are now learning all about plants and what they need to be able to grow.
We have planted our own bean seeds in plastic bags. We have then watered them and have hung them up in the light for them to germinate. We will watch our beans grow and measure the growth week by week.

Remember, there is no school on Monday!

We hope you have a lovely weekend!
