Tomorrow we are having a non-uniform day to raise money for the refugee crisis. If your child would like to take part they need to bring in a donation of £1.
In Numeracy this week we have continued our work on money and finding change from a given amount. Next week we will begin our unit of work on time. In Literacy, we have begun writing our own stories based on 'Why Dog Lives With Man'.We will finish these next week and move on to looking at non-fiction texts.
In topic we have carried out an experiment to see whether dinosaurs could digest food better with, or without stones in their stomachs. Much fun was had by all! Ask your child what we did and what we learned!
We had a very exciting morning today with our cross phase day! The years twos split up to work with the year fives to talk about values we have. The children had a special assembly and then went off to their working groups for the morning, where they watched video clips and discussed what values are and why they are important. The children then thought of what they valued and shared these with their group. After that the groups decided on the six most popular values and presented them to Mrs Wales, who will collate the findings for the whole school! Here are some pictures of us all working together. We had a fantastic time!
