Bradway Primary School

World Book Day Thursday 15th March

Wednesday 14 Mar 2018

On Thursday 15th  March 2018, we will be celebrating World Book Day.

We are happy to once again be welcoming children and their families to enjoy ‘Breakfast with a Book’. The school will be open from 8.15am for children, their families and friends to share a book before the school day, while enjoying a pastry and a drink. This year, we are encouraging children to take part in a ‘book swap’. During breakfast, we are inviting families to bring in a children’s book they have enjoyed and feel other children would love to read (please ensure the book is still in a fairly good condition). In the main hall, we will have a stall where loved books can be swapped so stories can be shared.

We would also like to invite the children to dress up as a character from a favourite book (please no football kits). A book will be awarded to two pupils in each year group who have the most creative costume.

We would also like to encourage children to bring in their favourite books, comics or poems to share at points throughout the school day.

We hope that you will join us in celebrating the wonderful world of books.
