Eden Camp
Friday 04 Mar 2016
What a fabulous week we have had in Y4!! On Tuesday, despite the weather not being great, we made our way to Eden Camp as part of our WW2 topic. The children were brilliant on the coach and we had a great sing song along the way!!
We arrived safe and sound and as ordered the sun came out! The children had a fantastic time exploring all the different huts where German prisoners of war were kept. Hut 5 was extremely popular, lots of smoke and air raid sirens going off!!
We hope that the children really experienced what it was like for a child in WW2 through all they saw at Eden Camp. They were very enthusiastic and full of questions and thoughts.
The children were a credit to Bradway. Well done guys!!
We finished the week making do and mending. The children are making puppets out of bits of old shirts and t-shirts. They are looking great but threading needles is hard!!!!!
Thank you to all our parent helpers, without you we couldn't have got as far as we did!
Have a lovely weekend, hopefully the snow won't melt too soon!!
