Super Sewing!

Friday 11 Mar 2016

Wow, what a busy week in Y4!! Today was Bad Hair Day and what a lot of bad hair we had! Some fabulous creations, birds nests, different colours, bunches, plaits and twigs to name a few!!

We've almost come to the end of our WW2 topic and what a fabulous topic it has been!! This week in literacy we have got into our Bake Off teams and decided what to make. We looked through lots of old recipes and ration leaflets before deciding what our dish would be!
Get ready for the Bake Off next week!! Yum, can't wait to try all delicious food that will be on offer!!
Parent helpers, dates and times are below, thank you so much for coming into help us.

Maths has been all about receiving change from £5 and £10 and finding the difference between two different amounts of money. The children have really enjoyedthis and worked very hard!

In science we did an investigation as to what would happen to the brightness of a bulb if we changed the amount of wires it was connected to in a circuit. The children really enjoyed the investigation and found out some surprising results.

Finally on Friday, we finished our sewing. A big thank you to all our parent helpers, we couldn't have done it without you. The children have learned anew skill and made a puppet out of old material, just like a wartime child. They look amazing!! Well done guys!

Have a lovely weekend and don't forget your aprons for the Big Bake Off!!!
