The lights are on but now there's no-one home

Saturday 06 Feb 2016

What an end to the half term. Today we started out with an assessment test on fractions, followed by the weekly tables test. We then wrote the last paragraphs in our epic evacuee stories. This afternoon we put the finishing touches to our torches. They look fantastic and are in good working order. Any air-raid warden would have been proud to have one in his possession during blackouts.

The children have worked super hard this half term and we've got through so much. Many of them feel like world war two veterans, they've experienced so much immersion in the topic.
Next half term we move on to The Home Front, The Enigma Code and The Normandy Landings. We've also got World War Tow Bake-Off to look forward to and not forgetting our trip to Eden Camp on the 1st March. If you haven't yet completed the reply slip and paid on Parent Pay , please could you do that asap so we can confirm numbers. Thank you.
We wish all the children a happy half term break. Don't forget spelling homework and Maths Whizz. We look forward to seeing you all bright, breezy and refreshed after the holiday.
