Bradway Bush Tucker Trials

Friday 08 Jan 2016

Well it's safe to say it's been a varied first week back.  We began the week persuading people that turkeys should be our friends and should not beeaten for Christmas.  We were also revising our addition and subtraction methods.

We have also begun our new spelling homework.  The children will have brought home their spelling sheet as normal.  They will need to learn thenumber they feel is appropriate for them.  However, not only do we want them to learn their spellings, we would like them to write 8 sentences usingtheir spelling words.  The sentences will be handed in on the middle week, in this case week commencing 11th Jan. We will attach the spelling sheetto the blog on Monday.

The week took a strange turn on Thursday, when we began our explorers day with our bush tucker trials.  The children walked through gunge, found shapesin boxes with unusual contents whilst wearing blindfolds, drank and sampled unusual foods and completed a water challenge as a team.  Photos are tofollow.

The explorers topic continued on Friday with the children exploring the grounds of Bradway for facts and working as a team to piece them all together.

Have a great weekend.
