Creatures of Habit

Well another hectic week in year 5!!
In English we have continued to read and finish Ice Trap. After learning the key features of a newspaper last week, we have now started to use some of them in our writing. We have created a lead paragraph as well as using direct speech. Hopefully by next week we will have written our own news reports.

Maths has been learning about multiples, factors and common factors of whole numbers. It was tough going at times but the children showed great resilience in their learning!! Keep practising those times tables!!

In topic we have carried on creating our own brand new creature. We have looked at how animals eat, defend themselves, travel as well as where they live. Some of the designs are "very" unusual!! 





In Science this week, the children had access to a live stream of science activities. It was fantastic and the children really enjoyed it!!



Learn how to cook has started and the children who attended really enjoyed it.

One last item, if you are auditioning for Bugsy, learn your lines and songs and be amazing when it is your turn!! Good Luck everyone!!
