I Said a Hip Hop

Year 5 were straight back into it after the holiday this week. In English, we have been continuing our unit on describing settings. We have thought about our senses and what we could see, hear, smell, feel and taste in the school woods. These ideas were then used to create similes and metaphors. After a bit of a wobbly start, everyone seems to have got the hang of it!
In Maths, we have moved on to looking at non standard partitioning and multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000.
Our P.E. Lessons have been quite different this week. On Monday we were learning how to 'Pop and Lock' and on Tuesday we had a Sheffield United coach in to teach us football skills.
Topic has included learning about the Mayan Gods and in Science all about zodiac signs.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
