Literacy: We have been looking at persuasive writing and how to create a letter that could convince the reader to change their mind about a topic.

- Talk to your child about the following areas - emotive language, counter arguments, exaggeration and how to address/ sign off when writing a letter.

- Mental methods - practise the times tables your child hasn't yet passed and ask them to work out simple everyday problems such as adding several amounts together without pencil and paper.
- Adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator.
- Finding fractions of an amount e.g. what is 1/3 of £21
