We're all going on a Summer holiday!

In maths this week we have been working in groups across the year group to plan and cost a camping holiday (only a fictional one unfortunately!). We have been given a range of options to choose from and have to decide which holiday park to stay at, what food package to buy, what activities we want to do and what equipment we will need. We have a budget of £800 and have to spend as much of it as we can without going over budget - it's proving trickier than it seemed! This activity has really helped develop our problem solving skills, teamwork and independent thinking, as well as helping give our maths a real life perspective as we are dealing with addition, subtraction, multiplication, money and percentages.
