Being Tim the Ostler

Thursday 05 May 2016

In literacy this week we have really tried to get inside the head of Tim the Ostler (a jealous and sneaky) man from the current narrative poem we are covering in class - The Highwayman.

We will be writing a diary from Tim's perspective this week, so it was really important to use drama to try and gain a sense of Tim's raw emotions and why he might act and feel the way he does. He also visited the classroom for a bit of hot-seating whilst taking a break from his stable duties at the inn.

In maths, we have entered 'revision mode' and are recapping parts of the curriculum the children have found more challenging or haven't covered for some time. However, these sessions are always nice to do with a bit of a twist, so yesterday we had a measurement and angles challenge outside and tried to complete each activity in pairs.
