Good evening all and well done on completing a busy, action-packed week. We really feel like you have tried so hard in your lessons and you certainly deserve a lovely weekend break!
In literacy this week we have focused on the use of speech in our narrative writing, using accurate direct speech and recapping the use of reported speech. We also managed to complete some drama activities to aid our understanding.
Maths has been very busy with Mr Yates' group developing the conversion skills using fractions, decimals and percentages. We also solved some F,D,P word problems.
Miss Svoboda's group have been analysing statistics and solving problems based on given data.
Our Mantle of the Expert unit on Whaling is really developing now, with our project managers overseeing two great displays (pics will be uploaded on Monday) to put in the British Museum.
We have one week to go with our wire sculptures and our marine animals are starting to take shape (sort of...) Hopefully next week we will be able to show you the finished pieces on the blog!
Remember our spelling for this week focus on silent letters. See if you can find more examples around the city/Bradway if you are out and about this weekend.
See you on Monday!
Mr Yates & Miss Svoboda
