King Duncan's Murder!
Tuesday 10 Nov 2015
Literacy was great today - we were able to kill King Duncan! Obviously, this was all linked to our Macbeth unit of work and helped the children gain a greater insight into the different characters' motives for their actions in the story. We also played a playground classic - Grandma's Footsteps - which enabled us to talk about how determined we were to snatch the crown from the king and also how we felt at different stages throughout the game.
Consider how you would feel if this was 'real-life' and you had the same opportunity.
What sort of punishments do you think would have been dealt out to traitors in Shakespearean times?
