Macbeth

We have now started our next Literacy topic - Macbeth. We worked hard last week to learn a little about the witches and to recreate their potion poem. We had all sorts of disgusting ingredients being thrown in, including whale blubber, dog's tongue, fish eyes and bog water. They produced some fantastic versions, which we will hopefully share with you sometime soon! Today was the performance from the Shakespeare Company and they were incredible. The children were so engaged with the story and learnt so much. We had children taking the roles of Donaldbain, assassins, trumpeters, Fleance and many more. Children also helped create the sound effects, banquet and battle scenes. The actors were incredibly impressed with everybody's contributions. Well done! Hopefully we can now use this great experience to help us write fantastic journalistic articles about the brutal murder.
